DR Strings HI-BEAMS Stainless Steel 6-String Bass Strings - Medium (30-125)

Hand-Wound Round Core Brilliance with Extended Range 6-String Attack

DR Strings HI-BEAMS™ Stainless Steel 6-String Bass Strings are world-renowned among extended-range bassists for their brilliant top-end clarity, extended harmonic life, and effortlessly flexible feel. Handcrafted in Westwood, New Jersey, HI-BEAMS are meticulously hand-wound on a traditional round core, setting them apart from stiffer, mass-produced hex-core stainless strings.

The Medium .030–.125 gauge combination delivers perfect string-to-string balance across the entire extended range. The round core construction allows the stainless steel wrap wire to conform completely along the core, yielding superior flexibility, smooth tactile comfort under the fingers, and rich acoustic sustain. The .030 high C string offers sweet, bell-like clarity for soloing and chordal voicings, while the .125 low B string delivers a tight, focused fundamental tone that tracks with surgical precision.

Designed for standard 34-inch and 35-inch scale 6-string electric basses, the MR6-30 set provides immediate dynamic response, smooth string bending, and effortless slap technique without losing low-end authority. Whether tracking intricate jazz-fusion in the studio or commanding heavy rock stages, DR Hi-Beams deliver bright, modern tone that stays vibrant gig after gig.

Sanctuary Tone & Intent Profile

• Best For: 6-String Electric Basses, Solo Bass, Progressive Metal, Technical Fusion, Jazz, Slap Bass, and Studio Session Work
• Tone Profile: Super bright and articulate with soaring high-end sizzle, glassy high C chime, punchy mid-range growl, tight low B tracking, and supple round-core flexibility
• Compared To: Standard hex-core stainless steel 6-string sets (which feel stiffer under the fingers) and traditional nickel strings
• Sanctuary Expert Note: "Handcrafted in Westwood, New Jersey, DR Hi-Beams set the standard for round-core extended-range bass strings.
