Dingwall Stainless Steel Long Scale 6-String Bass Strings (30-127)

Engineered for High-Definition Multi-Scale 6-String Attack and Growl

Dingwall Stainless Steel Long Scale 6-String Bass Strings are custom-engineered to unlock maximum top-end clarity, aggressive mid-range growl, and instant dynamic response on multi-scale and fanned-fret instruments. As the industry pioneer in multi-scale bass design, Dingwall developed these strings specifically to handle the extreme scale span of a 6-string instrument—from the singing 33.25-inch scale high C string down to the thunderous 37-inch scale low B string—performance that standard 34-inch or 35-inch bass string sets simply cannot achieve.

Constructed with premium stainless steel wrap wire over a high-grade hex core, this custom .030–.127 gauge set provides smooth playability and an exceptionally bright, resonant acoustic response across all six strings. The stainless steel wrap wire emphasizes harmonic overtones and high-frequency sizzle, offering a glassy .030 high C string for solos and chordal work, while the .127 gauge low B string delivers a tight, razor-sharp fundamental tone with zero mud or low-end flop.

Whether you are stringing up a Dingwall Combustion 6, NG3 6, ABZ 6, Z 6, or another multi-scale 6-string bass, this set offers uniform string-to-string feel, surgical intonation, and long-lasting harmonic brilliance for the stage and studio.
