Dingwall Stainless Steel Long Scale 4-String Bass Strings (45-098)

Engineered for High-Definition Multi-Scale Attack and Growl

Dingwall Stainless Steel Long Scale 4-String Bass Strings are custom-engineered to deliver maximum top-end clarity, aggressive mid-range growl, and instant dynamic response on multi-scale and fanned-fret instruments. As the industry pioneer in multi-scale bass technology, Dingwall designed these strings from the ground up to accommodate the exact winding lengths and balanced tension requirements that standard 34-inch scale bass strings cannot match.

Constructed with premium stainless steel wrap wire over a high-grade hex core, this custom .045–.098 light gauge set yields an exceptionally bright, resonant acoustic tone with a smooth, tactile feel under the fingers. The stainless steel formulation emphasizes harmonic overtones and high-frequency sizzle, making it the ideal choice for slap technique, progressive rock, fusion, and heavy modern music styles requiring ultimate mix-cutting projection.

Whether you are stringing up a Dingwall Combustion, D-Roc, ABZ, or another multi-scale 4-string bass, this set provides uniform string-to-string tension, surgical intonation, and long-lasting harmonic brilliance for the stage and studio.
