Baggs AEG-1 Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Sunburst

Next-Generation Acoustic Performance Engineered for the Stage

Known for over four decades as the premier pioneers in acoustic amplification under the iconic L.R. Baggs name, Baggs enters a bold new era with the AEG-1 Acoustic-Electric Guitar. Designed ground-up for gigging musicians and studio professionals, the AEG-1 bridges the gap between authentic acoustic resonance and feedback-free high-volume electric stage performance.

Featuring a hand-selected torrefied Sitka spruce top paired with a hollowed mahogany back and sides, the AEG-1 delivers the airy warmth, touch sensitivity, and harmonic richness of a fine acoustic instrument. Its chambered, thin-line body contour completely eliminates the resonant feedback loops typical of traditional dreadnoughts and grand auditoriums on loud stages—giving you total acoustic freedom without compromise.

Proprietary Acoustic Equalization System & HiFi Electronics

At the heart of the AEG-1 is Baggs' revolutionary onboard Acoustic Equalization System paired with their acclaimed multi-sensor HiFi pickup system. Rather than relying on harsh piezo quack or delicate internal mics, the internal preamp system captures the natural acoustic energy of the soundboard with studio-grade depth, immediate transient response, and pristine clarity through any PA system or acoustic amplifier platform.
