Baggs AEG-1 Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Torrefied Sitka Spruce

Vintage Aged Acoustic Resonance Meets Modern Stage Technology

Known for over four decades as the premier authority in acoustic amplification under the iconic L.R. Baggs name, Baggs pushes the boundaries of performance with the AEG-1 Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Torrefied Sitka Spruce. Engineered specifically for performing songwriters, touring musicians, and studio pros, the AEG-1 combines authentic aged acoustic soundboard vibration with complete feedback resistance at high stage volumes.

This model features a solid Torrefied Sitka Spruce top—a specialized thermal aging process that bakes out residual moisture and resins, mimicking the open, warm, and highly responsive sound of a well-loved 50-year-old vintage acoustic. Paired with a chambered mahogany body, the AEG-1 delivers rich fundamental overtone warmth, instant dynamic attack, and exceptional sustain without the howling acoustic feedback typical of traditional body shapes on loud stages.

Proprietary Acoustic Equalization System & HiFi Pickup Integration

At the core of the AEG-1 is Baggs' revolutionary onboard Acoustic Equalization System driven by their acclaimed multi-sensor HiFi pickup system. Moving far beyond harsh traditional piezo sound, this active circuit senses the physical movement of the soundboard to deliver true acoustic air, organic pick attack, and dynamic studio-grade tone directly into any PA, acoustic amplifier, or recording interface.
