Stage-Ready Freedom and Pop-Free Hot-Swapping for Recessed Jacks
The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to offer the Mogami Gold Instrument Silent S-18 18-foot straight instrument cable. Engineered for touring performers, session players, and gigging musicians using guitars with recessed or flush output jacks—such as Fender Stratocasters, Telecasters, and acoustic endpins—this cable features a straight Neutrik® SilentPlug that eliminates the ear-splitting pops and buzzes caused by swapping instruments under full power.
Constructed around legendary Mogami 2524 high-definition cable stock, the Gold Silent S-18 features an Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) core paired with a conductive polymer sub-shield and carbon-impregnated PVC layer. At 18 feet, it delivers the ideal balance of stage mobility and pristine tone retention—suppressing mechanical handling noise, electrostatic interference, and RF hum while preserving sparkling highs and tight low-end punch through high-gain tube amplifiers, complex pedalboards, and digital modelers.
Sanctuary Expert Note: The 18-foot length is the industry standard sweet spot for active stage performers. Combined with a straight Neutrik SilentPlug—essential for Stratocasters and recessed jack plates where right-angle plugs bind—the internal magnetic reed switch grounds your signal automatically until fully seated, keeping your rig, FOH PA system, and audience protected during mid-set instrument changes.
