This model revives a piece of PRS history; since the development of the DGT, the tremolo bridge has been absent from the McCarty platform outside of the Private Stock department.
This run restores that classic pairing, featuring a 10-Top Grade Flame Maple top with a matching stained Flame Maple neck. The Red Tiger finish provides an aggressive, high-definition look that perfectly highlights the depth of the wood grain, while the bound Ziricote fretboard ensures a premium feel and articulate response
Versatility Reimagined: While the foundation is vintage, the electronics are cutting-edge. This run features the new McCarty III pickups, designed to capture the "vocal" mid-range of late-50s humbuckers. However, unlike a standard McCarty, this guitar utilizes the 408-style switching system. Two mini-toggles engage a proprietary "splap" (split/tap) wiring, allowing you to move from thick, warm humbucking tones to authentic, chimey single-coil sounds with zero volume loss.
With only a handful of these produced for Signature Dealers globally, this Red Tiger masterpiece represents a rare intersection of PRS history, elite tonewoods, and modern switching versatility.
