PRS Signature Dealer Exclusive McCarty Tremolo with 408 Switching - Arctic Blue

As a premier PRS Signature Dealer, The Guitar Sanctuary is honored to present an instrument that defies the modern PRS catalog: The McCarty Tremolo "408 Edition."

While the original McCarty model was initially offered with either a stoptail or a tremolo bridge, the introduction of the David Grissom (DGT) model saw the tremolo option removed from the McCarty line to differentiate the platforms.

For years, if you wanted the thicker McCarty body and vintage voice paired with a tremolo, your only path was the Private Stock program. This Signature Dealer Exclusive run breaks that barrier, bringing the coveted McCarty Tremolo configuration back to a select few.

This specific instrument is finished in a breathtaking Arctic Blue, hand-applied to a 10-Top Grade Flame Maple top. In a move typically reserved for Private Stock builds, the Flame Maple neck is stained to match the top, creating a stunning visual continuity. The bound Ziricote fretboard adds a layer of harmonic complexity and a dark, exotic aesthetic.

Versatility Reimagined: While the foundation is vintage, the electronics are cutting-edge. This run features the new McCarty III pickups, designed to capture the "vocal" mid-range of late-50s humbuckers. However, unlike a standard McCarty, this guitar utilizes the 408-style switching system. Two mini-toggles engage a proprietary "splap" (split/tap) wiring, allowing you to move from thick, warm humbucking tones to authentic, chimey single-coil sounds with zero volume loss.

With only a handful of these produced for Signature Dealers globally, this Arctic Blue masterpiece represents a rare intersection of PRS history, elite tonewoods, and modern switching versatility.
