Vintage Blackguard Tone Meets AAAA Flame Maple Craftsmanship
The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to present this pre-owned Fender Custom Shop '52 Telecaster Relic in iconic Butterscotch Blonde (Serial #R149331). Handcrafted by the elite lutherie team at the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, this instrument perfectly bridges historic Blackguard authority with stunning custom specs, featured by a breathtaking AAAA Flame Maple neck and period-correct vintage appointments.
Built on a hand-selected premium ash body with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, this '52 Telecaster features an authentic Custom Shop Relic package, delivering decades of honest stage wear, organic finish checking, and worn-in playability. The highlight of this build is its tinted 1-piece AAAA Flame Maple neck carved into a comfortable '52 Style "U" profile (.860" at 1st fret / .920" at 12th fret) with rolled fingerboard edges, a 9.5" radius, and 21 Narrow Tall (6105) frets for smooth bending and effortless action.
Under the hood, this Custom Shop Tele is loaded with a set of Hand-Wound HW 50-51 Blackguard Relic single-coil pickups wired to modern Telecaster controls. Expect classic Blackguard bridge bite with musical midrange, a woody and warm neck voice, and unbelievable acoustic sustain supported by a vintage-style '51-'54 Tele bridge with brass saddles and a 51 Nocaster relic pickguard.
Sanctuary Expert Note: This is a true standout piece for players and collectors alike. Finding a Custom Shop '52 Telecaster featuring a highly figured AAAA Flame Maple neck paired with hand-wound 50-51 Blackguard pickups is rare. It delivers unmatched acoustic resonance, instant playing comfort, and authentic vintage vibe without compromise.
