Preowned 2022 Fender American Professional II Telecaster - Dark Night

Modern Workhorse Performance in Striking Dark Night Finish

The Guitar Sanctuary is pleased to offer this preowned 2022 Fender American Professional II Telecaster in the visually captivating Dark Night finish with a rosewood fingerboard. Drawing on more than seventy years of innovation, the American Professional II series refines Fender's most iconic design to meet the demands of today's working guitarist.

Crafted with a resonant alder body and a maple neck featuring Fender’s popular Deep "C" profile, this guitar feels instantly familiar. The neck back is treated with a smooth "Super-Natural" satin finish, while a sculpted neck heel provides comfortable access to the upper frets. The 9.5-inch radius rosewood fingerboard features smooth rolled edges, a genuine bone nut, and 22 narrow-tall frets for articulate bending and precise chordal work.

Sonically, the Am Pro II Telecaster is powered by a pair of V-Mod II single-coil pickups, engineered specifically for each position to deliver classic Telecaster snap, twang, and chime with enhanced warmth and clarity. A treble bleed circuit preserves crisp high-end definition when rolling down the master volume, while a push-push switch on the tone control allows you to run both pickups in series—delivering a fatter, higher-output tone that approaches humbucker territory.

Condition Note: This guitar is in Good Overall Condition. It has been played and loved, showing noticeable cosmetic play wear, surface scratches, and light dings across the finish. There is visible fret wear present, but it is purely cosmetic and structural—the guitar has been thoroughly inspected and set up in our shop, playing cleanly across the fretboard with proper intonation, full note clarity, and no fret buzz. Includes the original Fender Deluxe Molded Hardshell Case.

Sanctuary Tone & Intent Profile

• Best For: Stage Gigging, Studio Recording, Rock, Blues, Country, Worship, Funk, and Indie Rock
• Tone Profile: Classic Telecaster twang and articulate snap with smooth top-end clarity, plus fat humbucker-like push in series mode
• Compared To: Fender American Ultra Telecaster, American Vintage II Telecaster, and Suhr Classic T
• Sanctuary Expert Note: "The American Professional II Telecaster is the modern workhorse standard. The Dark Night finish looks killer, and the push-push series switch turns this traditional twang machine into a fat, humbucker-like lead beast. This preowned 2022 model shows genuine play wear and light fret wear, but it plays cleanly up and down the neck with zero dead spots."
