The Thunderous Tone of a Legendary Bass Stack on Your Pedalboard
The Origin Effects BASSRIG Super Vintage is an all-analog amp recreation and studio-grade DI designed to deliver the immense power, growling overdrive, and physical punch of history’s ultimate high-powered bass rig: the legendary 1969 Ampeg® SVT® and its iconic "refrigerator" 8x10 speaker cabinet. By utilizing discrete, transistor-based circuitry instead of digital modeling, this pedal faithfully replicates a complete valve-amp signal path—capturing the highly responsive, organic feel that has anchored world-class arena rock, funk, and metal stages for decades.
Whether you are plugging directly into a front-of-house PA system, tracking immaculate bass lines in the studio, or feeding a live stage amplifier, the BASSRIG Super Vintage fills your tone with deep low-end weight, authoritative mid-range presence, and a harmonically rich grind that cuts through any mix perfectly.
Uncompromised Tone-Shaping and Mid-Range Dominance
Just like the historic tube amp that inspired it, the BASSRIG Super Vintage gives you an interactive 3-band EQ alongside an incredibly versatile 3-position Midrange Frequency switch (220Hz, 800Hz, and 3kHz) to fine-tune your voice or sculpt aggressive mid-range growl. The multi-voiced Ultra Hi/Lo Cut switch provides immediate global adjustments: flip to Ultra Hi to emphasize pick attack and glassy articulation, or engage the Lo Cut to tighten up the lowest registers when pushing the pedal into a thick, saturated overdrive. A dedicated Blend knob lets you mix your clean bass signal in parallel with the overdrive circuit, maintaining rock-solid low-end definition and pick clarity no matter how hard you drive the preamp.
Studio-Grade Direct Routing and Proprietary Cab Sim
Equipped with a balanced XLR DI output, the BASSRIG Super Vintage features an integrated all-analog cabinet simulator voiced after the legendary multi-speaker 8x10 enclosure. This means your direct line-out channels the moving air, complex resonances, and massive presence of a fully miked stage stack. For live performers, Origin’s proprietary Amp Out EQ allows you to tailor the 1/4" output independently via variable LF and HF trimmers and a dedicated Horn Cut switch. This ensures you can correct for the acoustic character of any venue backline or stage amplifier without ever disturbing the pure, pristine simulated tone being sent straight to the house console.

Sanctuary Expert Note:
"The SVT 'refrigerator' stack is the undisputed heavyweight champion of rock bass history, but nobody wants to haul a 100-pound tube head and a massive 8x10 cabinet to a club gig. The BASSRIG Super Vintage fits that exact, room-shaking growl right onto a standard fly-board. The parallel Blend knob is the real secret weapon here—it lets you keep your fundamental low-end completely clean and punchy while layering on that legendary, tube-driven grit overhead."
