The Sanctuary Perspective
The Radial Headlight is a compact, tour-ready 4-output guitar amplifier selector designed for players who run complex multi-amp setups on stage or in the studio. Equipped with a ultra-quiet Class-A input buffer, the Headlight drives long cable runs and complex pedalboards without high-frequency loss or signal degradation. A single heavy-duty footswitch allows you to step sequentially through four distinct amplifier outputs, or select a dedicated 'All On' mode to blend multiple amps simultaneously. Built with custom Radial isolation transformers on secondary outputs, the Headlight eliminates ground loops, 60-cycle buzz, and phase issues instantly.
Product Intelligence & Signal Architecture Profile
- Best For: Multi-Amplifier Stage Rigs, Studio Amp Shootouts, Dense Pedalboard Systems, Sequential Amp Switching, and Wet/Dry/Wet Rigs.
- Sound Character: 100% dynamic, open, and natural Class-A buffering with full frequency preservation, ultra-low noise, and pristine pickup attack.
- Compared To: Provides a much smaller pedalboard footprint than larger multi-amp switchers like the Shotgun or Switchbone while adding sequential single-footswitch channel scrolling and high-visibility LED tracking.
- Sanctuary Expert Note: "Running four tube amps on stage used to require a massive switching system and endless troubleshooting for ground hum. The Headlight gives you total multi-amp control in a single compact pedal footprint—tap to scroll between your clean, rhythm, lead, and ambient amps with zero noise."
Key Features & Stage Engineering Highlights
- Low-Noise Class-A Front-End Buffer: Loads your guitar pickups naturally while driving long cable lines and dense pedalboards without signal loss.
- Sequential Footswitch Control: Step through outputs 1, 2, 3, and 4 sequentially or program custom output combinations for seamless tone switching mid-song.
- Transformer Isolated Outputs: Custom Radial isolation transformers on outputs 2, 3, and 4 block stray electrical ground currents and eliminate 60-cycle ground loops.
- Individual Phase Inversion & Ground Lifts: Dedicated 180° polarity reverse and ground lift switches across secondary channels resolve acoustic phase cancellation and stage noise instantly.
- High-Visibility LED Matrix: Color-coded LED ring around the footswitch provides immediate visual confirmation of the active amp output on dark stages.
- 14-Gauge Steel Construction: Built inside Radial’s signature heavy-duty steel chassis to handle decades of touring abuse.
