Radial SGI Studio Guitar Interface Line Driver System

The Sanctuary Perspective

The Radial SGI (Studio Guitar Interface) is a high-performance signal extender system designed to drive high-impedance guitar signals over distances up to 300 feet (100 meters) using standard balanced XLR microphone cables, with zero high-frequency roll-off, signal degradation, or noise. Essential for commercial recording studios, arena stages, and complex rack systems, the SGI allows guitarists to stay in the control room or main stage while routing their instrument feed to remote amplifier isolation booths or off-stage amp vaults with 100% tonal purity.

Product Intelligence & Signal Engineering Profile

• Best For: Professional Recording Studios, Remote Isolation Booth Routing, Arena & Festival Stages, Long Cable Distance Signal Transfer, and Rack-to-Amp Interfaces.
• Sound Character: Completely transparent and uncolored with full frequency restoration, zero high-end capacitance dulling, and dead-quiet ground isolation.
• Compared To: Upgrades standard guitar buffers by actively converting high-impedance unbalanced guitar signals to low-impedance balanced XLR lines at the transmitter (SGI-TX), then converting back to hi-Z at the passive receiver (SGI-RX), preserving 100% pick attack and dynamic response over long runs.
• Sanctuary Expert Note: "High-frequency signal loss and cable capacitance kill great guitar tone when cable runs exceed 20 feet. The original SGI lets you place your tube amp in an isolated booth 250 feet away while maintaining the exact feel, load, and pick attack as if you were plugged directly into the front panel with a 10-foot cable."

Key Features & Technical Highlights

• Complete Transmitter & Receiver System: Includes both the active SGI-TX Transmitter module for pedalboard/stage mounting and the passive SGI-RX Receiver module for placement directly at your amplifier.
• Extended 300-Foot Signal Transmission: Drive high-impedance guitar signals across long distances using standard balanced 3-pin XLR mic or snake lines.
• Drag Control Load Correction: Features Radial's variable Drag Control load correction on the transmitter to fine-tune pickup impedance loading, restoring the natural tone and feel of plugging directly into a tube amp.
• 100% Transformer Isolated Receiver: Built with a custom Radial isolation transformer inside the receiver unit to eliminate ground loops and 60-cycle hum between distant power sources.
• Ground Lift Switch: Integrated ground lift switch on the receiver eliminates stray electrical currents and ground loops instantly.
• 14-Gauge Heavy-Duty Construction: Housed inside Radial's signature roadworthy steel enclosures to handle the demands of touring and daily studio use.
