Artisanal Spraying Meets Masterpiece Factory Spec
The Guitar Sanctuary is deeply honored to unveil one the crown jewel of our recent factory visit to Stevensville, Maryland: a breathtaking PRS Custom 24 Semi-Hollow "Sprayer's Choice" finished in a spectacular, one-of-a-kind Pomegranate Smokeburst. The Custom 24 is the quintessential modern electric guitar archetype, but when rendered as a semi-hollow body with a single sculpted F-hole, its voice opens up with a spectacular acoustic resonance, immediate dynamic tracking, and a three-dimensional woody midrange.
As a "Sprayer's Choice" piece, the finish team at PRS was given total creative license. They cooked up the "Pomegranate Smokeburst"—a lush, deeply saturated crimson-pink center stain that perfectly showcases the deep, shifting flames of the hand-selected Artist Grade Maple Top. This vibrant color transitions fluidly into a dark, sultry smokeburst edge, beautifully accentuating the premium Smoked Black hardware running across the chassis.

"This build is a masterclass in premium detailing. Instead of standard rosewood, PRS paired this mahogany neck with a jet-black Ebony fretboard and matching headstock veneer, adding a crisp, glassy top-end snap to the note decay. Set into that dark ebony canvas are solid, 'Old School' style bird inlays carved from ultra-premium Korean Awabi shell. The intense green, pink, and gold iridescence of the Awabi shell against the dark wood and pomegranate finish creates a jaw-dropping visual experience."

This Custom 24 is loaded with high-speed playability and advanced modern electronics. The fast, sleek Pattern Thin mahogany neck offers effortless upper-fret access all the way to the 24th fret.
To voice this instrument, PRS equipped it with a specialized set of DMO Treble and Bass humbucking pickups. Engineered specifically to maximize the unique airflow and acoustic properties of a semi-hollow body cavity, these pickups deliver an incredibly clear, uncompressed wide-frequency response. They retain beautiful harmonic separation, pristine note definition, and chime-y top-end air even when pushed by high-gain boutique distortion pedals or cooking tube preamps.
