Vintage Cleans, Classic Drive, and Timeless Bias Tremolo
The Origin Effects Deluxe61 Amp Tremolo & Drive is a premium, 100% all-analogue circuit recreation that captures the rich cleans, raunchy mid-forward overdrive, and deeply musical modulation of the legendary 1961 Fender® Brown Deluxe™ amplifier. Widely considered one of the greatest combo amps of the early 1960s, the original Brownface Deluxe is highly coveted for its unique overdrive voice and its legendary bias tremolo circuit. Rather than just placing an effect over your dry signal, the Deluxe61 uses an entire valve amp-style signal path—complete with a Class-A preamp, a simulated push-pull output stage, an output transformer, and an interactive reactive load—to give you the authentic feel, sag, and growl of a cranked vintage tube amp right on your pedalboard.
True Dynamic Modulating Circuitry
Smooth, deep, and incredibly rich, bias tremolo is widely celebrated as the pinnacle of amp-based modulation effects. By modulating the bias voltage of the amplifier's output valves, the Deluxe61 lets you literally "play through" the tremolo effect. Because it mirrors the dynamic and interactive playing experience of a real vintage combo, picking harder causes the tremolo modulation to naturally compress and recede into the background. As your notes decay or when you roll back your guitar's volume knob, the lush, pulsating tremolo smoothly fades back into the foreground, allowing for unparalleled musical expression dictated entirely by your touch.
Modern Versatility and Flexible Shaping Options
While the Deluxe61 delivers flawless historical accuracy, Origin Effects has engineered premium modern features for today's gigging and studio setups. A dedicated Shape toggle lets you switch between an ultra-smooth classic Sine Wave LFO and a choppier, more dramatic Full Wave setting that keeps the modulation prominent even with high-gain tones. The integrated Multi switch changes the range of the Speed control (x1, x2, x3), working perfectly alongside the external TRS footswitch jack for remote tap-tempo control and instant tremolo bypass switching.
To ensure perfect integration with any rig, the Deluxe61 includes a proprietary Post-Drive EQ filter network. With its three-position switch (EQ1 for bright Black Panel amps, EQ2 for mid-rich Marshall-style backlines, and P/AMP for direct recording interfaces, modelers, or flat-response power amps) and a variable adjust knob, you can set-and-forget the pedal to match your exact output framework without compromising your favorite amplifier settings.
Product Intelligence & Core Attributes
- Best For: Blues, Classic Rock, Roots Americana, Country, Studio Work, and direct-to-PA fly rigs needing authentic tube-amp feel and response.

- Compared To: An authentic vintage 1961 Fender® Brown Deluxe™ (5G9 circuit), premium boutique low-wattage Brownface builds.

Sanctuary Expert Note: The way the tremolo ducks out of the way when you dig in hard on a blues lick, and then washes back over the chords as they ring out, is pure magic. It is an incredibly organic playing experience that digital emulation simply cannot replicate in a standard stompbox footprint.
