The foundation of this masterpiece is a premium, highly resonant Swamp Ash body that maximizes natural acoustic sustain, woody snap, and lightning-fast low-end response. Dressed in the wild, high-contrast aesthetics of our proprietary Shmear finish, this guitar is accented by an elegant White Pearl pickguard and a striking Black headstock sporting the bold, white Tyler Expression Logo ("Explogo").
Uncompromised Fretwork & Proprietary Pickups
The neck is a player's dream: hand-carved from rock-solid Quartersawn Roasted Maple with a matching Maple fingerboard shaped to Tyler's legendary Standard Thin profile. Featuring a vintage inspired 1-5/8" nut width and premium Wide/Tall frets, the neck provides an immediate, played-in feel that eliminates hand fatigue during marathon sets.
Plugged in, the Tylerbastar delivers pure sonic authority via a traditional, straight-mounted SS pickup layout. The neck position houses a chrome-covered James Tyler JTTN5250 single-coil, serving up smoky, jazz-tinged warmth and clear, uncompressed blues note definition. Flip to the bridge, and the James Tyler Alligator single-coil takes over—unleashing a fierce, high-impact growl with fat midrange and incredible harmonic bite, completely free of the harsh, ice-pick highs often associated with lesser T-styles.
