Elite Pickups & Versatile Electronic Matrix
Sonically, this Studio Elite HD-P is an absolute chameleon, utilizing an ultra-flexible HSS pickup configuration. In the neck and middle positions, a pair of James Tyler JTS5500 single-coils deliver clear, glassy chime, bell-like note separation, and standard-setting touch sensitivity. In the bridge position sits a slanted James Tyler Super humbucker in Chrome. The classic Tyler slant optimizes string-to-pole alignment, serving up muscular, high-output rock crunch, focused midrange punch, and screaming leads that cut effortlessly through any live or studio mix.
Unlike active preamp configurations, this HD-P (HD Passive) layout relies on traditional, unadulterated analog tone control. Wired with a 5-way blade selector, a master volume, and dual tone knobs routed in a traditional neck/middle configuration, it offers an intuitive, pure tone-shaping experience directly from the instrument.
