Fender Richie Kotzen Telecaster - Brown Sunburst

Hot-Rodded T-Style Performance Meets Modern Lead Virtuosity

The Fender Richie Kotzen Signature Telecaster in Brown Sunburst is built for guitarists who demand versatile tonal muscle, lightning-fast playability, and understated elegance. Originally designed as an exclusive model for the Japanese market and now available globally, this instrument blends high-performance modifications with refined aesthetics specified by the rock fusion virtuoso himself.

Constructed with a resonant Ash body topped by a figured Flame Maple cap and framed with cream body binding, the instrument is finished in a rich Brown Sunburst that accentuates the depth of the wood grain beneath. The silky 1-piece Maple neck features a substantial "Large C" profile paired with a flat 12-inch radius Maple fingerboard and 22 Jumbo frets—delivering effortless string bending, massive natural sustain, and comfortable hand placement across the entire fingerboard.

Under the hood, sonic versatility is driven by a specialized DiMarzio pickup combo. The bridge position houses a high-output DiMarzio Chopper T humbucker for fat, crunching rhythm tracks and soaring lead lines without 60-cycle hum. The neck position features a DiMarzio Twang King single-coil, serving up ultra-responsive, glassy Telecaster chime and touch-sensitive dynamic response. In place of a traditional tone control, Kotzen specified a 3-position rotary switch that toggles the Chopper T between series and parallel modes, giving you instant access to both thick humbucking saturation and scooped, spanky single-coil textures.

Hardware appointments include high-grade Gold hardware, a 6-Saddle String-Through-Body Tele bridge with block steel saddles for precise intonation, Gotoh tuning machines, and a clean 1-ply Cream pickguard.
