Create Infinite Soundscapes with Pristine Stereo Imaging
The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to feature the EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run V2 Stereo Reverb & Delay with Tap Tempo. Far more than a simple delay and reverb combo, the Avalanche Run V2 is a high-powered digital workstation designed for ambient explorers, shoe-gaze soundscapists, and experimental multi-instrumentalists. Powered by a high-performance custom DSP platform, the V2 features an upgraded algorithm that delivers an incredibly lush, wide, and immersive stereo image that breathes new life into your signal chain.
The Avalanche Run V2 offers up to 2 seconds of pristine digital delay with tape-style emulation and dynamic bucket-brigade style analog warmth, paired beautifully with a cavernous plate-style reverb. Thanks to its true stereo inputs and outputs, you can split your signal wide open. For live performers, the V2 incorporates EarthQuaker’s proprietary Flexi-Switch® Technology on both the Activate and Tap footswitches, giving you seamless transitions between traditional latching or momentary performance modes.
Sanctuary Expert Tone Profile: Vast, immersive, and incredibly cinematic. The Avalanche Run V2 excels at turning a simple guitar riff into a massive, orchestral wash of sound. It's the ultimate 'always-on' ambient pad creator that retains absolute note definition.
Three Distinct Modes for Complete Sonic Freedom
The core of the Avalanche Run V2's power lies in its three-way mode toggle switch, which redefines how your wet signal behaves:
- Normal Mode: Serves as a straightforward, premium delay and reverb. Holding down the Tap switch in this mode triggers wild, soaring self-oscillation that naturally cascades until released.
- Reverse Mode: Flips the delay line backward while leaving the cavernous plate reverb running forward. Holding the Tap switch temporarily flips the delay back to Normal mode for on-the-fly rhythmic changes.
- Swell Mode: Introduces an auto-volume swell effect that reacts dynamically to your picking attack, turning your guitar into a bowing, violin-like ambient synth.

Expression Jack
The expression jack is located on the west side of the pedal. It is a TRS jack with the tip acting as the wiper. We recommend using a Moog expression pedal with the output adjustment knob all the way up. We cannot guarantee any other expression pedal to work with the Avalanche Run.
Flexi-Switch® Technology
This device features Flexi-Switch® Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.
• For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.
• For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you’d like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.
Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.
Power : For best results, please use the included 9v center-negative 1-amp DC power supply.
