Crushing Distortion Engine Meets 900 Watts of Studio-Grade Headroom
The Darkglass Electronics Alpha·Omega 900 merges the legendary versatility of Jon Stockman's custom-designed drive circuits with a massive 900 Watt RMS Class-D power section. Engineered for modern bassists who demand razor-sharp note definition, thunderous low-end stability, and aggressive tonal saturation, this flagship amplifier head delivers unmatched presence both on stage and in the studio.
At the heart of the AO900 are two distinct distortion circuits: the "Alpha," which is punchy, tight, and focused with exceptional clarity, and the "Omega," which provides raw, relentless, and aggressive saturation. Using the blend control, players can mix both engines seamlessly alongside their clean signal. Paired with a ultra-quiet VCA compressor, active 6-band graphic EQ, and digital Impulse Response (IR) cabinet simulations, the Alpha·Omega 900 sets the benchmark for modern high-gain bass performance.
Why We Love It at The Guitar Sanctuary
At The Guitar Sanctuary, the Alpha·Omega 900 is our go-to recommendation for players in high-gain rock, modern metal, and heavy progressive genres who refuse to lose low-end fundamental when cranking up the distortion. The ability to run down to a 2-Ohm load means you can easily drive multiple cabinets, while the pristine headphone out and custom IR loading make it a world-class desktop studio tool for silent direct tracking.
Key Features & Performance Attributes
- Dual Alpha·Omega Drive Engines: Morph continuously between the tight, punchy "Alpha" circuit and the raw, unbridled aggression of the "Omega" circuit.

· Never use the amp at a high moisture environment or near liquids.
· The Alpha·Omega 900 can deliver more than 115 dB of power. Exposure to this level of sound can damage your hearing. Use proper hearing protection if you will be exposed.
· The Alpha·Omega 900 can deliver more than 900 Watts. Be sure that your speaker cabinet is able to deliver that power. You can reduce the output of the amp by selecting the 2Ω mode on the rear panel (by the SpeakON output jack).
· Do not cover the vent holes. The Fan and vent holes are part of the cooling system of the amp. Covering the vent holes can damage the power amp by overheating it.
· Don´t use an instrument cable as speaker cable. An instrument cable is not designed to deliver the type of power signals sent from the amplifier to the speaker.
