The Holy Grail of Golden-Era Simplicity: An Absolute Collector-Grade 1959 Doublecut
The Guitar Sanctuary is incredibly honored to unveil a breathtaking specimen from our owner George’s private personal vault: an investment-grade, entirely original Vintage 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior Doublecut in its legendary, vibrant Cherry finish. Handcrafted during Gibson's absolute golden era in Kalamazoo, Michigan, this iconic instrument represents the ultimate distillation of rock-and-roll muscle. Beloved by arena legends and studio session masters alike, a true '59 double-cutaway Junior provides uninhibited upper-fret access and an acoustic resonance that must be felt to be believed.
Unmolested Vintage Integrity & The P-90 Raw Power
This 1959 Les Paul Junior exhibits an exceptionally well-preserved, deep Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer finish, retaining its rich, fiery hue with minimal fading and light, beautiful natural finish checking. Beneath the pristine original tortoiseshell pickguard rests the heart of this rock machine: an untouched, original black "dog-ear" P-90 pickup wound with correct vintage wire. Wired directly to its factory-spec Centralab potentiometers and historic "Bumblebee" capacitor, this pickup behaves like a living entity—clearing up beautifully when you roll the volume back, and barking with massive, harmonic-rich midrange bite when pushed wide open.
True 1959 Ergonomics & Precision Validation
Every critical component of this historic asset has been forensically verified for total authenticity:
- The Legendary '59 Neck Profile: Features the highly coveted, robust, yet perfectly carved 1959 chunky neck shape that fills the hand comfortably without feeling overly cumbersome.
- Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard: Fitted with an incredibly dark, premium slab of Brazilian Rosewood boasting original frets showing plenty of remaining life and classic pearloid dot markers.
- Period-Correct Hardware: Completed by its original wrap-around tailpiece/bridge assembly for unmatched string vibration transfer, and factory original three-on-a-plate Kluson Deluxe tuners.

George's personal double-cut is a literal lightning bolt—it rings out acoustically like an old acoustic guitar, and when plugged into a hand-wired tube amp, it delivers a rich, raw harmonic bark that modern guitars simply cannot match. This is an investment-grade masterpiece."
