Representing Bill Collings’ ultimate homage to the golden era of dreadnought design, the Traditional Series combines lightweight vintage construction techniques with the unyielding precision and clarity Collings is legendary for.
Featuring a select Sitka Spruce top paired with Honduran Mahogany back and sides, this D1 T yields a warm, woody response with exceptional note separation and midrange punch. The Traditional Series construction includes extra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, custom-voiced bracing with animal protein glue, and an era-correct neck profile with a generous 1-3/4" nut width and vintage string spacing.

This particular 2018 model has been elevated for the working professional with a professionally installed L.R. Baggs Anthem microphone/pickup system. The Anthem combines a patented Tru-Mic internal microphone with the acclaimed Element undersaddle pickup, providing studio-quality natural acoustic air and clarity without feedback vulnerability on stage.
