Carved from carefully selected solid tonewoods, the 620 honors Collings' modern aesthetic while evolving the build through insights gained from their acclaimed I-35 LC Vintage developments. The result is a strongly cohesive relationship between neck and body, delivering a rich, sweet voice, gentle top-end sweetness, and exceptionally balanced touch response across the entire fretboard.
Crafted with a premium flamed maple top on a Honduran mahogany body with a solid maple center block, the 620 blends the acoustic airiness of a semi-hollow instrument with the feedback resistance and sustain of a solidbody. Hand-wound Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers, Jupiter Vintage Yellow capacitors, Davies Radio knobs, and the iconic "Flipped Haircut" peghead complete this extraordinary instrument.
