Cornerstone Nucleo Reverb: The Science of Ambient Space

Born from a multi-year collaboration with world-renowned guitarist Paul Davids, the Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo is far more than a reverb pedal—it is an atmospheric instrument. Inspired by Davids' recordings inside the Zwentendorf nuclear power plant, the Nucleo captures the haunting, cavernous acoustic signatures of a massive reactor and places them inside a powerful M7 Cortex-driven engine.

The Three Core Engines

The Nucleo features three distinct reverb algorithms, each capturing a specific "zone" of the reactor's sonic profile:

• Reactor: The heart of the pedal. A massive, evolving algorithm designed to emulate the cavernous main reactor chamber.

• Room: Inspired by the control room, this provides more intimate, high-definition reflections perfect for everyday use.

• Hall: Emulates the vast cooling rings of the plant, delivering lush, shimmering tails that bloom beautifully.

Innovation: "Function 2" Architecture

Cornerstone solved the problem of menu-diving by creating a hardware-based Dual-Function system. By simply moving the rocker switch, you unlock a secondary set of controls for every knob and fader:

• Primary (F1): Blend, Decay, Tone, Modulation, Pitch (Air), and Granular (Flux).

• Secondary (F2): Pre-Delay, Diffusion, Modulation Rate, Pitch Interval, and Granular Speed.

• Character Switch: Toggle between Normal (High-Fidelity), Vintage (Warmer with Wow/Flutter), and Lo-Fi (Tape-like saturation and grit).

The Freeze Section: A Universe in a Note

The dedicated Freeze footswitch allows you to hold a reverb tail indefinitely, creating a lush pad that sits behind your live playing.

• Freeze Pitch: While frozen, you can shift the pitch of the buffer (Octave Down, 4th Down, No Shift, 4th Up, or Octave Up) to create evolving orchestral textures.
