Gail Wasson

During the Summer of 2019, our Performance Academy was looking to add an additional piano instructor. We were introduced to Gail Wasson, a local piano instructor, who has a great reputation in the McKinney area. After speaking with her and given her extensive experience it was obvious she would be a great addition to our team . Gail joined our staff late Summer of 2019.

Gail earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her Master of Music (Piano Performance) degree from Southern Methodist University. She spent time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at SMU and as a Choir Director, Band Director, Drama Teacher at the Junior High and High School level.

Gail’s live performance resume is lengthy. She has worked as a free-lance pianist for several high-profile music venues, symphony orchestras, and houses of worship in the DFW metroplex. She also has held the title of Music Director for multiple theatre organizations. Gail has also had several of her compositions published and used for film and television soundtracks.

Gail works well with students of all ages and skill levels. Her teaching environment is structured and encouraging.

Gail is currently available for piano lessons on Thursdays.
