Presenting the Fender Custom Shop 1963 Jaguar Closet Classic in Aged Burgundy Mist Metallic.
Fender introduced the Jaguar guitar in 1962 as the fourth and last instrument in its original standard guitar lineup. Preceded by the Telecaster (1951), the Stratocaster (1954) and the Jazzmaster (1958), the Jaguar was the only one of Fender’s big-four guitars born in the 1960s, and it was in several ways the most distinctive among them.
The Alder body features their vintage nitrocellulose lacquer finish and the Closet Classic level of aging will show some finish checking and cracks, but not much playing wear.
The maple neck sports their '62 Jaguar neck profile, Rosewood fingerboard with modernized 9.5" radius, and 6105 Narrow Tall frets.
Electronics include the classic HW 62 Jaguar Flat Mag pickups and vintage wiring.
Hardware includes the vintage Adjustable Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge complete with mute and Vintage tuners w/ Fender Logo.
Accessories include a Custom Shop Jaguar/Jazzmaster Brown hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
