Breedlove Custom CM in Malaysian Blackwood with Sinker Redwood Top

This stunning custom Breedlove CM features Malaysian Blackwood back and sides and a Sinker Redwood top.

It is a guitar we had custom built for us by Breedlove's Custom Shop (you can read about it here) and that we sold originally to one of our customers, and unfortunately was damaged in shipping on its way to them.  

After processing our damage claim with UPS we got the guitar back from them, and set our in-house luthier Daniel upon the task of repairing the damage and bringing it back to life.  The bass side had suffered a small kerfing line crack from some mishandling during shipping. Daniel repaired the crack and filled in the missing finish (see photos). It is structurally sound and cosmetically it is only visible under close inspection

We are selling it as-is, with no factory warranty, given the original damage it sustained, and it is priced accordingly.

Redwood is a dark, beautiful top wood favored by fingerstyle players who appreciate clear upper harmonic content. Sinker redwood is a special type of redwood that comes from logs that were submerged in oxygen-free environments in the bottom of lakes or ocean waters, yielding darker, more striped, and often stiffer and lighter wood. Bold, punchy, crisp tones, with rich, strong overtones. Like a cross between spruce and cedar. Coloration can range from a light pinkish brown to a deep reddish brown
